यह एक-दूसरे से एक, दो या तीन कम्प्यूटर नेटवर्कों को जोड़ने की ग्लोबल संरचना है। यह IP का प्रयोग करते हुए पूरे दुनिया में डाटा का आदान प्रदान करता है, जिसका माध्यम वेबसाइट होता है। यह विश्व का सबसे बड़ा नेटवर्क है। इसका पूरा नाम International Network हैं।
Note: भारत मे इसका आरंभ 15 अगस्त 1995 में VSNL(विदेश संचार निगम लिमिटेड) द्वारा किया गया।
